I made this card for a lady that I go to church with. She collects all things froggy. So that is the theme I used to create my card.
I started with a 12"x12" piece of green cardstock. I folded it in half then took a large plate and marked a curved edge at the open edge ending at the curved edge.
Don't cut off your curved edge though because that makes the card stand up.
That made the card look like a half circle with the fold at the top.
I had found a wooden frog at the store and got it to go on the front. I wrote a name on him with a black marker that said Froggy.
I had some ready made flowers so I stuck one of those on the front to. Then I got on my computer and wrote this sentiment. "FROM OUR PAD TO YOURS". I placed this beside the frog on the front of the card.
Then you open the card and their is the rest of the sentiment that says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER SUE".
There is a picture of a lilly pad flower on the top along with the sentiment. I cut two pieces of backing paper with the frogs on it. I got it free from paperprintables.com. I glued them onto the cardstock top and bottom then the picture and the sentiment went on top.
On the bottom side I put the frog backing paper then put a frog from paperprintable.com. I printed him off on my printer and cut him out then colored him in the way I wanted too. I named him Hoppy and wrote the name on the frog. Then beside him I used a typed out message that said from Froggy and Hoppy.
I gave the card to her at church on Sunday and she loved it. She was excited that it had frogs all over it. LOL It made me happy that I could cheer her up for awhile.
I haven't been making cards for very long. As a matter of fact this is only my first card to make.
I really enjoy doing this and I am sure I will keep it up. I only make cards for my family and friends. I am sort of slow at it so I don't think I could ever go into buisness making cards. I would probably starve. LOL

For a first attempt at making cards Donna this is wonderful and I love the humour that you have injected in to it to make it very personal fro your friend.
I am not surprised she loved it and I am sure she will treasure it for a long time.
Making cards for family and friends is always so much appreciated and never under estimate your own talents.
I bet they all think that the cards you make for them are special and are amazed at what you do.
