This pretty Heirloom Ornament 2010 from Spellbinders is going to help you with your Christmas cards and it will mix and match with any other Christmas die that you have in your collection
It can be used in so many ways all you need to do is fire up your imagination and away you go.
Every year Spellbinders bring out a new collection and the Heirloom Ornaments are just one of them.
Some of the others are Christmas Trees, Snowflakes, Small Baubles, Snowmen ... and they will all work together.
But the Heirloom Ornaments are some of the Nesting dies that can be used in so many ways... and the shapes for 2011, 2012 and 2013 are all different
Using the same die you can create the most beautiful Decoration for your Christmas Tree and the video Heirloom Ornament Tutorial will show you how to get the look.
This pretty card is created from very few of the Spellbinders dies and yet the result is really good.
The central area is created from the Quatrefoil Pattern and I bought mine from Sunrise Crafts which is a UK company
Use any of the shiny glitters that you have in your "Stash" and match it to the card and ribbon and you will have a very co-ordinated look that wont cost the earth to make.
I have used Mirror card for mine but you could use foiled, glittered, embossed or any of the other Specialty Card that you may have to make each one look different.
Glitter in another area of the pattern for another look or simply turn the whole Heirloom shape upside down to look like another completely different Bauble.
There are other tutorials to show you how to make other
Spellbinders Christmas Decorations
and now that it is on the way what better time to get started.
The flowers on the Turquoise card are from Wild Orchid Crafts
The pearly flourish added to both of these cards is from Want2Scrap and if you use just part of the whole design it can be a really inexpensive and effective way to add luxury to any of your designs.
