inlay technigue
These four cards are all using the dies and stamps from the Christina collection - two with the 5 x 7 collection and two with the 6" square collection.
The turquoise one is following a technique from one of my magazines which divides the card front by using a die to cut a shape out and saving the little pieces to piece it together with another shade or colour.
I have also used the butterfly stamp and die then coloured it in along with the little ones which I fussy cut out and coloured. I then stamped the friend verse onto the front.
The lilac one is my attempt at ink smooshing by following your video, Christina. I then used it for the background followed by cutting some ink smooched flowers using the flower dies from the Christina collection. The sentiment is stamped onto white vellum and backed by lilac card and mounted onto the front with foam pads and embellished with sequins.
The yellow/gold card is made by following your video using gilding flakes and some parchment flowers backed with the same colour card. I then used the with love sentiment from the 6" card set onto white vellum and backed by card.
The final card is using some blue ink smooshed card the cut out the hexagons and sticking them onto double sided adhesive sheet and using silver glitter between the shapes. The frame is made in white card and then the Greek key border from the 6" collection is cut three times from silver card and stuck together to give depth then adhered onto the frame.
I have used the shooting star and sentiment from the Christina male collection. I do so hope you like what I have come up with because all the dies and stamps from your collection are a joy to use.
Christina says ...
Jenny thank you so much for sending these photos of the beautiful cards you have made from my collections. They are all so pretty but my favourite one would have to be the pink one with the white flowers.
You have well and truly done the collection proud and I am so happy that you are enjoying playing with it all.
My Christmas Collection will be with you very soon and I will be on Craft Stash Facebook Live for the next two Fridays ( 20th and 27th July)
