Thankyou for your kind words and offer. It really is just practice, I think once you have mastered the basic shapes, got a quilling board and basic tools all you can do is keep practicing. There are some really intricate designs out there but of course it's better to do your own. I had lots of books from the library to start with which were a great help. Many thanks for your interest. Best Wishes Jan.

Proud Peacock,Fiesta, Silky Flowers by: EDITH
Good afternoon Jan
I simply love your peacock. people who do not do quilling are unaware of the work put into creations like this.
I purchased books for this craft but did not manage to succeed in creating the lovely designs.
If you like I will pass on one of the books for free to you. All I would ask is the P and P.
You can of course look these up on the internet
The books are:
Quilling for scrapbooks and cards by Susan Lowman
Paper Quilling for the first time by Ali Bartkowski
The above two are hard backs and the one below is a soft back
The Weekend Crafter Paper quilling by Malinda Johnston

I love the way you've quilled the peacock, especially the way the tail spreads and fills the bottom half of the card.

Hi Jan
Love your cards especially the peacock - it's absolutely beautiful. I've tried quilling but not very successful at it. You've done as brilliant job.
