Thanks you all for your comments. The encouragement helps me to proceed on. It appears the lady who bought the Zigzag (pink, green and white) card has bought 3 more cards from me. She pay 10 dollars a card with no negative face expressions. Then another co-worker bought a card from me when I told her my story she gave me 10 dollars. So now I know my cards are worth 10 dollars.
I learn all my ideas from Card-Making Magic and anything else is just elementary.
Thanks again Ann, Julie and Edith.

Keep up the great work. I haven't even thought of selling my cards yet. I am far too new and too slow, heck I can only just get a card ready for an upcoming birthday!
But I think, from all the videos, blogs, etc. that I have watched/read that once you start, you get so many more contacts, and ideas. The opportunities will almost fall into your lap, as it were. I have made many 'crafty' items over the years, and have been told many times, "You should sell these" but I always have the same response - people do not want to pay the amount you need to recover even just your costs. But with a smaller item, like cards, and especially if you have found yourself an outlet where the buyer doesn't have to see you face to face, then it is much easier to sell our product. I think of myself when looking for a card, I have bought many cards on an impulse when I see a beautiful card that I didn't need at that time. Many will see your cards, not need them just then, but return when they have their Mother or sister's birthday coming up, because they remember your beautiful, and handmade, cards.
Keep your chin up, and your fingers busy!

What a wonderful story, it almost sounds like my adventure with Christina. I think all your cards are lovely, and well worth the price you are charging. My son got me to make a special card for a friend of his, and he paid me $5.00 I was shocked.I haven't tried to make the Zigzag card as yet, so I think I'll go and try to make one.

Thank you Edith by: Anonymous
I know exactly what you mean Edith, but if you know your cards are that good look at their express like, Why yeah! and give them a smile. Some people feel because a card maker cards aren't in a store, that they don't need to pay the price. They are forgetting that, mostly 99% of the cards in the store are computer generated and digital. We card makers take our time to make sure every line is straight, every bow is perfect, there are no messy glue ect. and people who don't make cards don't realize the effort it takes. However, always keep a straigt face, I learned that right away.

THE ZIGZAG CARD by: EDITH
HELLO ANITA, YOUR CARDS ARE BRILLIANT!!!
I HAVE BEEN DOWN THE SAME AVENUE AS YOURSELF WHEN ASKING A CETAIN PRICE FOR MY CARDS (embroidery on cards)
I remember quoting my price to a friend's daughter and I saw her face pull. I saw her 30 min later and she had purchased one from a shop at double the price which was a run of the mill type and certainly nowhere near as nice as mine. I admit it was bigger I now do not take orders, I just make them and give them. Some do ask the price and pay up as they are aware of the time and effort I put in.
Just stick to guns and good luck
