The card
My youngest son was getting married in August and having made the Save the date cards, invitations and table labels, I wanted to make them a special wedding card.
I have been making cards for friends and family for a few years and learnt a lot from watching Christina's videos.
I found a video that showed how to make a card for a special occasion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WloLZHxyLvw) and got cracking.
I used A4 plain white card (250gsm) folded into an A5 tent fold, and Spellbinder dies, as per the video.
The sentiment stamp was heat embossed in silver, as were the edges of the flower (a technique I had never tried before!) I added a ribbon and pearls to match the wedding colour.
I printed the insert and then made a box to put it in with the lilac ribbon and bow to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed making the card and the happy couple were thrilled with it too.
Christina says ...
This card is so pretty and I love the delicate lilac theme. I can see why the happy couple where delighted with it and I am sure they will treasure it for a long time.
